Supporting Churches Celebrate Anniversaries
Congratulations to Bethel Mennonite Church, Home Street Mennonite Church, and Fort Garry Mennonite Fellowship Church on celebrating anniversaries this October!
Bethel Mennonite Church celebrated their 80th Anniversary on Sunday, Oct 29th with a church service featuring special music, followed by a potluck, and cake.
Home Street Church celebrated 60 years on October 22nd. Ten years into the history of Home Street (then known as Bergthaler Mennonite Church of Winnipeg), a group of this congregation left to plant a church in Fort Garry, now known as Fort Garry Mennonite Fellowship.
FGMF held it’s 50th anniversary celebrations on October 14 & 15. The weekend included a Saturday evening coffee house with a display of artwork and various handicrafts. The Sunday morning service included a special worship service with a time of sharing and story telling, and a special meal for everyone to enjoy. A 50th anniversary book is also in the works.
Bethel Place residents and staff extend a heartfelt congratulations to both churches as they celebrate God’s faithfulness through the years.
