New Provincial Orders Begin January 23, 2021

Bethel Place continues to implement necessary measures under the direction of health and government authorities in keeping our communities safe and healthy.   To help navigate the new provincial public orders coming into effect Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 and what it means for residents of Bethel Place please note the following:

Services & Programming

  • Residents will be able to book an appointment with the hairdresser starting January 27th, 2021.
  • The Fitness Room will be opened to no more than TWO persons at one time.
  • All programming at Bethel Place continues to be restricted.

Guests

Bethel Place will be moving off of essential visitation only and on to the new provincial guidelines for visitors.  Two designated persons (family or friends) will now be able to visit residents.  As this is not back to normal, it is recommended that mask wearing, proper handwashing and physical distancing be continued with visits.  We recommend residents talk with their family and/or support people to help make decisions regarding their designated visitorsOutdoor gatherings of no more than five persons may be added to a household.

The above services and visitation is within provincial protocols and will be in place for the next three weeks, ending February 12th, 2021.  Please continue to follow the fundamentals of staying home if you are feeling unwell, practicing physical distancing, proper handwashing, and wearing a mask.

The chief provincial public health officer reminds us to self-isolate immediately at the onset of possible COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild. This means staying home from daily activities. Testing should be done as soon as possible once symptoms appear. If your symptoms worsen (e.g., shortness of breath, breathing difficulties), or if you have questions or concerns, please call Health Links – Info Santé at 204-788-8200 or (toll-free) at 1-888-315-9257.
