We have been so blessed at Bethel Place during this month of love.  Love in the food that is prepared in our South Oak Inn and delivered to our doors, love in the faces of our friends and neighbors who greet us with a cheerful hello, and love in the staff who take the time to support us in our days.

On Wednesday Feb. 9^th we were privileged to have snow sculpturer Vinora Bennett create two of her snow bears in the Bethel Place courtyard.  Onlookers watched from windows as she created her masterpiece.  Her passion is evident and truly comes from the heart.  Like any true act of service, Vinora’s actions benefit so many in different ways.   Thank-you Vinora for spreading the love!    Donations can be made to Union Gospel Mission to support her cause.

February is also heart health month.   We are encouraging everyone to walk for a healthy heart.   Walking logs have been created for all residents so that their daily walks can be recorded.  During the first week of March we will be awarding prizes to those who return their recorded walking log to either Christine or Melanie.

Some other programs we look forward to are:  a presentation from the Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre on Feb. 14^th, Bethel Place resident love stories on Feb. 17^th, “ My Big Fat Greek Wedding”   movie afternoon on Feb. 24^th, and the music  of Paul Dueck on Feb. 25^th.
