Bethel Place is looking for an energetic and compassionate individual to join our community this summer! This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain diverse experience by supporting both our vibrant recreation programs and the South Oak Inn meal program.

The Opportunity

• Term: June 1st – August 28th, 2026
• Schedule: Monday to Friday (Daytime hours)
• Hours: 34 hours per week
• Funding: This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

What You’ll Do

• Engage & Assist: Help facilitate social and physical recreation activities for our residents.
• Culinary Support: Provide hands-on assistance within the South Oak Inn meal program, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Community Building: Foster a welcoming environment through meaningful interaction with independent seniors.

Who You Are

To be eligible for this role under the Canada Summer Jobs grant, candidates must:

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
• Possess a genuine interest in working with older adults.
• Have previous experience (or a strong interest) in food services and recreation.
• Comfortable using digital tools to assist in the creation and distribution of a Resident Survey, including data entry and basic formatting.
