The province of Manitoba has moved to the critical level red on the pandemic response system. Please be note that social gatherings will remain at 5 people.
Due to Bethel Place serving a vulnerable population, we are currently permitting essential visitation only. Essential visitors are visits related to residents physical, mental and spiritual care needs.
SOI take-out delivery services, laboratory, banking and massage services will continue as essential services to Bethel Place within provincial protocols. BP common spaces are temporarily closed but residents are encouraged to strive to get some daily activity including walking hallways. Laundry rooms will remain open. All programming has been postponed until further notice. Staff will continue to connect with residents by phone and written communication.
Residents are encouraged to maintain doctor appointments. If they are unwell, they should not hesitate to call their doctor’s office. Their doctor can help them decide if they should seek care now or wait. When unable to call their doctor, residents can contact Health Links at 204-788-8200.
Residents who have cold or flu-like symptoms, such as cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, headache or any of the symptoms are to self-isolate. If resident’s get tested for COVID-19 they should continue to isolate until they have their test result, and they will receive further instruction on isolation at that time.
These measures are all being taken to strive keep each other safe. As a community we need to help flatten the curve once again.
